Distillation systems for CN, NH4 & Phenol

MicroBlock™ distillation systems simplify the tedious chore of conventional distillation procedures. The MicroBlock- V series has a vacuum attachment for Cyanide while the MicroBlock-R series is designed for applications that do not require air/vacuum control.

Both systems use a 10-postition Teflon®-coated aluminum heating block with digital temperature control, timer and built-in flow meter for cooling water. Temperature is adjustable up to 190°C, meeting the requirements of all referenced distillation procedures. MicroBlock Systems reduce chemical waste by 90%.

Reduced volume MicroBlock distillation systems comply with the following EPA methodologies:
Cyanide, EPA 335.4, Phenol, EPA 420.1, Ammonia, EPA 350.1

The Simple Cyanide System from Environmental Express offers a safe, convenient option for cyanide collection. The 12-position system eliminates most of the glassware associated with traditional systems. The system does not use cooling water or the cumbersome tubing that cooling water requires, making it easy to use and inexpensive to maintain and operate.

Other benefits include:
- Convenient, disposable cyanide collection traps provide a low cost alternative to completely disposable systems while allowing the analyst to use a traditional 50mL sample size.

- The heating block is based on proven Environmental Express HotBlock technology. The manifold is removable so the 12-position block can also be used for metals digestions.

- The Simple Cyanide System uses the traditional chemistry found in EPA Method 335.4, and Standard Methods 4500-CN-C.
